How to Order

Do you have an account?

A1 Rubber does offer credit accounts to approved applicants. If you do not have one already please feel free to apply for one by calling our office. Accounts are only available for repeat order customers. First time orders require payment up front.

Placing an order

You can place an order by any of the following methods: Fax, mail, email or in person. We do accept telephone orders for confirmation or hold of stock however, we do require a written order with your company name on it sent within 24 hours and/or prior to dispatch. Your order should include an order number, product part numbers, unit quantities, sizes and colours where applicable, delivery address, contact name and phone number for site deliveries, the date you require it to be dispatched, the date you need the product on site and whether you require us to arrange transport on your behalf. The more detailed you are with your instructions, the easier it is for us to process and get your order to you on time.

Manufacturing lead times

It is our intention to supply orders in the fastest possible time however, up to 10 days lead time may be required. We do carry hundreds of tonnes of stock and it may be the case we can dispatch your order on the same day. We do however prefer at least two hours notice for internal document processing. Contact our office for further advice on our lead times at the time of your order.

Standards of service

Our sales staff are committed to providing a high level of service and product advice to our clients. You will find our staff to be helpful, courteous and responsive to your needs.

Picking and packaging

Our internal order systems are extremely reliable and are monitored by recording surveillance cameras for quality assurance. All pallet loads are clearly labelled for quick identification. We also use the latest packing and strapping equipment to ensure safe and secure transport to you.

Shipping to you

We operate our own local and interstate trucks offering two trips to Sydney and one trip to Melbourne weekly. Backing up our vehicles are numerous sub-contract operators and couriers. You are welcome to arrange your own transport or we can quote on all your freight needs. If you do not have a forklift on-site you can opt for either a hand-unload (straight off the side of the truck, but no carrying away from the side of the truck) or a Tailgate Loader or Crane Truck option. These optional freight services will incur extra charges and we are happy to arrange a quotation for you.

Accepting the goods

Prior to signing for acceptance of the product on the consignment note you should count that you have received all pallets that are listed on the con-note and inspect the state of the unloaded goods to ensure they haven’t been tampered with or damaged in transit. All irregularities should be noted on the con-note for future reference.

When you receive your order

Your order will come with a delivery docket. You should check that the goods ordered, the delivery docket and what is on the pallets all match. It is important to be thorough when checking and understand that we do maximize stock on pallets, so some products may be under others. Please report any shortages or extras immediately so we can check our packaging surveillance cameras for confirmation and correction.
