School Logo in Gezoflex EPDM

Matt Stokes and his team of highly skilled installers at Plants Whitsunday recently installed a rubber wetpour surface for a school, prominently featuring their logo in the design.

The school wanted to resurface an existing concrete assembly area, and it was a requirement that their logo be displayed in the new surface. Instead of choosing other options such as mosaics or painted surfaces, the school loved the idea of using a wetpour rubber surface with its anti-slip properties, longevity and easy maintenance, along with the crisp, precise lines that Plants Whitsunday could provide in their installation techniques. Needless to say, the school was very happy with the product and the installation done by Plants Whitsunday.

Plants Whitsunday chose to install the rubber wetpour surface using Gezoflex EPDM granules and Nypol binder to accomodate for the high traffic thoroughfare and ensure that the colours were consistent regardless of sun exposure in our extreme UV Australian climate. They complimented the installation with seating and metal archways and lattices for creeper vines to grow up.

Western Australia’s Premier – Cable Beach Resort & Spa Addition

The Hawaiian Groups Cable Beach Resort and Spa has a new addition to their waterpark adding to its suite of fun things to do at Western Australia’s premier resort.

International grade, premium quality waterpark surfacing was supplied by and in consultation with Australia’s A1 Rubber, applied with local themes and colours including whales, camels, amazing rising suns, water and greenery.

A1 Rubber’s Swiss made Traqua was client chosen due to its history of use in different Australian climates and its high resistance to the harsher NW conditions and UV.

The area was completely stripped of the old surface, prepared, cleaned down and the new fun and bright design applied with special attention applied to thickness, closing off the surface and join adhesion.

Numerous other products were appraised yet the Australian supplied Traqua product stood out to be the most tried and proven option for our harsh north-western country conditions.

Softfallguys took great depths in preparation and installation of the new waterpark surface and expects the fun theme and colours to be a huge drawcard to many thousands of excited feet and will stand up to the harsh annual cyclones and winds.

Softfallguys were again proud to work with Yurra led by Justin their NW leading Landscape Construction Manager!
Aiming to deliver a smashing hardy high UV softfall safety surface, Softfallguys and Yurra worked for months to plan this key play area in the middle of the brand new YIC complex in South Hedland NW WA. The outcome was delivering an amazing 100m² Gezoflex play area for the youth of the NW to drop in, play and relax.

Western Australia’s Premier – Cable Beach Resort & Spa

The Hawaiian Group owns many premier retail complexes, the Parmelia Hilton and one of Australia’s premier resorts the Cable Beach Resort and Spa.

Premium quality was required hence their selection of Softfallguys services and A1 Rubber EPDM products when completely renovating their resort play area of SBR product.

The design and planning incorporated elements of the Broome sun, sunsets, desert, beaches, horizons and indigenous regional colour flecks giving visitors from all over the planet a sense of outback Australia.

Numerous EPDM products were appraised to find there is a lot of EPDM loaded with cheap filler on offer and the A1 Rubber Opal rose to the top as the only Australian supplied product to be tried and proven in our harsh north-western country conditions.

Softfallguys have recently checked the surface to find the material and colours did not bleach white and have stood up to many thousands of excited feet, one cyclone and extremely harsh winds to date.

Congratulations Cable Beach Resort & Spa.

Wetpour Over Concrete Revamp

A primary school in North West Sydney required a revamp of an existing concrete area, choosing rubber wetpour surfacing which can conveniently be installed over concrete with minimal site prep. Glooloop carried out the job using red, yellow, blue and green CSBR granules over top for the demarcation and numbers in green, blue, red and white. This job highlights the great use of rubber surfacing to provide a creative play area for children, outside of the usual soft fall and playground equipment environments. The design also cleverly incorporates a numbering system used for the children to line up for school assemblies.
